My wife and I stayed at Rue des Francs Bourgeois in September for a week. It was perfect for our needs. The location was fantastic: right in the heart of Le Marais, near the river, and with many eating and shopping places nearby. We felt very at home in the unit; it was safe, quiet, clean, and fun! The outdoor area was perfect. The staff was great to deal with and very accommodating with our check in. We would definitely stay here again.

I really liked this little studio, it has everything you could want and the terrace is very cute. The bed is comfy, there is plenty of cupboard space, decent shower and good kitchen facilities. It's right in the middle of Marais and very handy for getting to pretty much anywhere. HOWEVER - The big problem is the electricity unit in the corner that makes the most awful grinding clanging noise, at half hour intervals, all through the day and night!! We thought it must be broken so after the first dreadful night of no sleep (I could even hear it through my earplugs) we emailed PFA to ask if they could come and fix it. I got a fairly quick response asking if they could come around. I replied to say that we would not be in but that they were welcome to come in our absence. I received another reply at the end of the day asking when we would be in. I explained that we only had 4 days to enjoy Paris, so we were not going to sit in the apartment waiting but they had keys so please could they come and fix it while we were out. I never heard back from that email so we spent all 4 nights with this monster in the corner of the room. I can't quite explain how annoying it was! It's such a shame as the booking process was generally good (though the price did go up from the quote on trip advisor) and the staff were very helpful about letting us leave our bags in the apartment until the end of the day when we left so we could pick them up on the way to the train station. The location could not be better but I really would not advise a stay here until they have fixed or replaced the noise machine.

This apartment is well located in the Marais near shopping, markets, restaurants, transportation, etc. We love the Marais so this was a plus for us. The apartment is spacious by Paris standards, having two bedrooms and two baths. It is well furnished for a rental, the kitchen is very workable, the apartment was clean, and all of its features seemed to work. The management company is easy to deal with, responsive and helpful. A representative met us in front of the building when we arrived and introduced us to the apartment. They also provided a lot of information about the neighborhood--which is helpful if this is your first stay in the Marais."

As with most older Paris apartments, it has a few quirks that a prospective renter needs to consider. First, the apartment is located about 2 1/2 floors off the street level. If lugging baggage up many stairs isn't a problem, this won't be an issue. Second, to reach the master bedroom, you have to walk through the first bedroom. This could be an issue for some. We made it work but it wasn't ideal. Third, while the apartment contains two baths, the toilet for the first bedroom is located near the entry door to the apartment rather than in the bedroom.

The apartment isn't perfect but, on the whole, we made it work and had a terrific stay in Paris.

Exactly what we wanted
We were looking for an affordable, comfortable apartment in a great area of Paris. That's exactly what we got with this unit. The decking was an added bonus.

Wow!!! What a wonderful romantic apartment in a sensational location. It is hard to imagine it could have been better. We were met & greeted by Ianto in a very professional, yet extremely friendly manner. We felt very welcome right from the start. The apartment was very clean & comfortable, & the small terrace was fantastic. What a place to sit & relax with a wine & nibbles after a hard day shopping & site seeing. The shower is on the small side, but adequate. We will certainly return & we would highly recommend the apartment.

We wanted something simple clean and comfortable as a base to enjoy everything Paris has to offer. Rue de Francs Bourgeois was just that. It is a small self-contained studio but it does have good facilities and everything works. The only request we made was for a change of bedding halfway through a 2 week holiday and that was supplied with efficiency. Indeed, the entire booking was handled by a straightforward & responsive system. In the studio, there are demarcated spaces for separate functions (sleeping, cooking, eating, lounging, washing) which allowed us to manage a 2 week holiday quite comfortably. The apartment is tucked away at the back of the original courtyard so it is very peaceful and, for people who have anxieties about security, it feels totally private and safe. On the way out, the front door opens onto the busy, cheerful & bohemian Francs Bourgeois, thronged by relaxed shoppers, looking for clothes, jewellery, objet d'art etc. in the colourful local boutiques: they are a cheerful crowd. It is about 50 steps or so to Place des Vosges. Down the Rue de Turenne to the Rue St. Antoine, there are all the domestic shops you could want - if you want to cater for yourselves. Wonderful patisserie at Miss Manon. The bus system locally is excellent - 65 to and from the Gare du Nord, 69 to pretty well all of the key sites in central Paris through the centre and out to the Eiffel Tower. And walking home at night along the Seine and through the islands and then through St. Paul, the antique area, is a total pleasure. The Bastille is just round the corner, with a great sunday market (and an opera house), and the Pompidou Centre is at the other end of Francs Bourgeois with culture aplenty, not to mention the Picasso Museum round the corner. We had a wonderful time & have no trouble recommending it.

We enjoyed our stay in Paris in the Marais. Rue de Francs Bougeois was in a perfect location & even tho it is on a busy street it is located at the rear & was very quiet. I would recommend PFA to anyone looking for a rental in Paris. Everything went very smoothly.

The trip from the airport to the apartment was flawless. We opted for the taxi service and were extremely happy we did, their was a railroad strike at the time and the roads were jammed, our driver took a detour avoiding the traffic jam. Our contact person, was at the apartment when we arrived, greeting us with a smile and a helping hand. The apartment is perfect for two people, with a romantic terrace that looks out over a quiet garden plaza. There are neighbors and you can hear them on occasion but this is part of living like a Parisien, you are clearly not in a hotel and that is why we stayed in an apartment and not a hotel. We would go again, no question about it.

On arrival at the apartment, we were pleasantly surprised at its perfect situation.. The street is close to many Paris landmarks and attractions, and is itself an interesting narrow street with many individual and interesting shops. Once inside the apartment , one finds oneself in a haven of peace and quiet. The bed was very comfortable, the tiny kitchen well-equipped and overall the room was a pleasant place to be. Tastefully furnished. Little balcony looked into quiet ,leafy courtyard below. Just one slight irritation, the shower failed to drain quickly enough and was very small , needed an upgrade perhaps, rather battered round the edges.PFA pleasant and helpful. We would not hesitate to use this apt again.
