Under blue skies of the south, explore by bicycle the Luberon vineyards and villages to meet a Romanesque chapel or secret Bastide. Strolling on the terrace of a typical bistro located on South spaces Bonnieux Roussillon or the joyful fountains or discover the know-how of a potter in Gordes. Cook up your picnic lunch at the colorful stalls of the Provencal markets and evening to savor the cuisine full of Mediterranean flavor of a Chef. A bike ride combining the pleasures of the local cuisine and the beautiful scenery of Provence!

Day 1: Arrival in Isle sur la Sorgue

Arriving at Isle sur la Sorgue at the foot of Vaucluse Mountains. There you can stroll on the shady banks of the Sorgue and the antique shops.

With its market on Thursdays and Sundays and large flea market.

Dinner and overnight included in Isle sur la Sorgue.

 

Day 2: Cherry and hilltop villages

Isle sur la Sorgue> Pernes les Fontaines> Venasque> Isle sur la Sorgue

- Approximately 40km bike - + 700m / -700m -

You ride your bike in the Sorgues, admirable garden of Provence lined with cypresses and solitary farmhouses to Pernes-les-Fontaines. Visit of this historical capital of Venaissin County, with 40 fountains, its Romanesque church, its mansions (Saturday market).

Then by bike, discover landscapes and hilltop villages of the Monts de Vaucluse, north of the Luberon. Venasque, medieval city classified among the "most beautiful villages of France" with its magnificent baptistery; Notre Dame hides a beautiful picture of the Avignon school.

On the roads of three hilltop villages smells of thyme and rosemary, country cherries and Muscat du Ventoux, you encounter the village of Beaucet which nestles into the rock beneath the castle ruins and La Roque. Through the pine woods and valleys, down to Isle sur la Sorgue.

Day 3: The most beautiful villages

Isle sur la Sorgue> Cabrières d'Avignon> Gordes> Roussillon> Maubec

A day of cycling Provence dedicated to the foot of the North Luberon Vaucluse mountains, its undulating landscapes, through vineyards, orchards and smells of scrubland, dotted with hilltop villages of Provence; secrets and authentic as Lagnes, Cabrières-d'Avignon and Goult, prestigious and colorful as Gordes and Roussillon (small market on Thursday).

And, in the background, dominating the white cliffs of rocks, winding valleys and ocher cliffs, identified by the gray-green of the oaks and pines.

Feel free to enjoy a rosé in a vineyard and meandering paths Ochre of Roussillon!

Day 4: The north side of the Luberon

Maubec> Bonnieux> Ménerbes> Oppède> Maubec

- Approximately 41km bike - + 800m / -800m -

Small bike day to appreciate the flavors and beauty of the hills where villages perch Bonnieux (Friday market), Ménerbes, Oppède-le-Vieux at the foot of the Petit Luberon.

In the campaign orchards, olive groves and vineyards alongside the farmhouse and Bories under the Mediterranean light.

In Menerbes, in one of the old houses the House of the Truffle and Wine invites you to discover a remarkable place. Cycling in Provence in all its glory

Dinner and overnight in Maubec.

 

Day 5: The Plains

Maubec> Cavaillon> The Vignères> Isle sur la Sorgue

- Approximately 13km bike - + 150m / -150m -

Freewheel balcony directly at the western end of the Luberon or strung villages Robion Taillades up and Cavaillon (market on Monday). Landscape gardeners crossing and fruit grown and beautifully lined up cypress Isle sur la Sorgue.
